1st presidential seal buckle

The best info I could find was a picture with no description that had the same buckle named as a WW2 army buckle. I believe it's bronze plated. I was hoping it was older , seeing as I'm in an area where Washington's men had camped n Ben Franklin frequented... But it was a nice find anyhow. Anyone have any more concrete info on it? Much appreciated .

What did you use to clean that up? It really came out nice.

I did the unthinkable.. lol ... I did quick short blasts with electrolysis ... I had the charger set high n did lime 3 intervals of 5 minutes each. Inbetween tooth brushing it off with peroxide . The film just slipped off of it. I could have taken it down to bare, but I wanted some gunk left behind. Then I got turtle wax and shined it up.. Lol
