Ok where are you guys getting the money to drop on CRH. Im a hundred here, $50 there. Holy crap Your taking all the silver from the little guys!

I guess I am going to have start using my pay check every couple weeks and paying my bills in residual change................wouldnt that piss em off.

Anyhow.............have fun just wanted to gripe.

Here is how I do it. I quit a hobby, sell what I used, made, or collected,and use the proceeds to fund the next hobby.

It really doesnt take that much. A couple of thousand and you can search close to 100k in coins a year. Save up the cash up front and recycle away.

Many a CRH has started by using their paycheck to fund the first box. If you are still hitting banks $50-100 at a time I would recommend customer returned rolls. You might hit a solid 90% stash. sell the stash and you have your hunting money.

I get $500/day in halves 6X a week. My cash involvement is about $700. the extra $200 is to replace in the "base" $500 when I find keepers. When I have $200 in silver, I sell and restock the replacement fund. Easy peasey lemon squeezy.

I am in hiatus right now but back when I used to hunt I would just use a check. I only had $500 and was ordering 2 boxes a week. I would buy a box, search and dump, then go and pick up the second box. After several months of this the teller told me that I could just write a check as I had established a good relationship with them. Now I was writing BOW a check from WF so it wouldn't clear my account instantly. I found that my limit doing this was 4 boxes or else I wouldn't have enough time to search dump and redeposit in one day. There were a couple of occasions where I almost got nailed with some overdraft charges but always managed to get the money in just in time. Obviously this may not be for everybody, but if you are responsible and have a good relationship with your banks it may be a way to up you coinage.

I did try this at a BOW in my hometown and with them not being familiar with me were less than willing to take a check for $2000 when I had only $140 in my account. So get to know your tellers and see what you can do.

I have a $6,000 coin hunting fund and that is all it's for. Took a couple years to put it back. Later this spring I should be able to bump that up to $12,000. Will let me get 24 boxes of halves a week then. Just takes time and discipline to do.

500 dollars a box and you can just order from different banks. Pickup one box, sort, then dump go get the next one. You will get silver too this way. Good luck.

Just like anything else or business venture you must set aside or dedicate the capitol for this hobby. I like many others have stated here, use under 2k to search up 10k a week. That money is untouchable. and has been paid for through Coin Roll Hunting. Probably started out with a couple of hundred and built it up over time, but again it takes discipline and dedication.

Another thing you might consider is quit Drinking and Smoking and watch how fast you can save $500.

$5.00 a day for a pack of cigarettes x 100 days = $500 or roughly 3 months. And if your like some of my ole friends, dropping $100 a week on weed will certainly take away from the fundage....

Commit to making it possible.

I would say, i budget a few beers to enjoy while searching. Not every night but searching while drinking a beer helps take the sting off all the skunks.
