Looks like you got a broken die there brother(also known as a "cud." The die probably chipped near the mint mark causing extra metal to flow into that area. Cool piece!

Thanks. The hunt is still on. I'm still hunting/trucking for the big nugget, I'm not going to stop until I get it.

I have a 1993 D Lincoln Penny . The AM is separated and the FG is far from the monument. Is that good or bad?

What you have is a 1993-D Lincoln Memorial Cent with a "Close AM" Reverse as it should be. All the "Wide AM" Variety Lincoln Cents have the "FG" Designer's Initials close to the Memorial Building.

I'm sorry, but everything you gave as info is incorrect. That is a filled mint mark. The die would have a little post inside the D. It broke off. A cud is connected to the rim and part of the die breaks away. Anything else is either a die "chip" or an interior die break.

I'm just going to post the pictures to let you all see. I just want to post the pictures for a better understand because the AM is not touching. I was looking at the ones on eBay and their AM's is touching.

The gap should be equal to the spacing of the rest of the letters to be a wide am. Sometimes polishing of the die will cause a small gap to appear. But for that your letters would be touching. Sorry, but your coin is normal.

Yep, "Close AM" doesn't necessarily mean that the "A" and "M" in AMERICA are touching, it just means they are close. Heck, I have or had thousands of Lincoln Memorial Cents minted after 1992 that have a small space between the "A" and "M" and probably have or had thousands where they are touching.
