Obviously I know what this is but want to know if this is some type of Mint Error,
It does not appear to be tampered with but made this way... but I don't know how.
Pictured is the Penny I have next to a New penny..
My penny has a high rim, but all other features seem to be smeared somehow.
The mint mark I think is an S although no way to tell for sure, under a loop it appears to be
a big round blob....
This was found in amongst a box of regular pennies I was going through...
don't know where it came from or how it got here.

I need your advise and input... thanks.

it's obviously a real penny, and the diameter is the same as a penny, that is why I posted it with a penny...
Just all of the features are smeared like... i don't know, like they were melted together or something...
but all the features show the same way front and back.
It does not appear to be a Double Strike, and if a penny was stuck in the planchet on top of it, it would have looked different...

Sorry. In the pics it looked smaller than the new penny and I thought maybe it was struck in a collar that was smaller than a typical penny.

If it looks a little different it might be the way it was scanned... not sure, Like I said, it appears to be a real penny... just all the features are smeared in some way...

Not made that way, it was wear or chemical that caused the blur look ,then it was hammered against something witch raised the lip, you can plainly see that by how close the edge/lip is to the "in god we trust , and also bottom of Lincolns bust.
Two different types of damage at two different times.
