Hello found this in a small coin envelope as pictures. It was randomly among other coins I received when my grandfather died a few years back. He wasn't a collector or enthusiast so this has been sitting in the envelope for 40+ years. I'm not a collector either but i enjoy hunting for old coins. Anyway no idea what to make of this as it appears to be a conglomerate of errors.

Any info would be fantastic. Thank you in advance

first off, the coin doesn't match the envelope
looks like it was put into a press, after it was minted

Littleton Stamp & Coin Co. Inc. have long been known for selling over graded and over rated coins to Collectors for outrageous prices, and I am sorry to say but I believe that this coin which they sent to your' Grandfather, is no exception! It appears to be a man-made Error using another Cent and a vise or a hammer to create the so-called Error coin. Besides having reversed details and lettering of the Obverse on the Reverse of the coin, the obliteration of the details and lettering on the Obverse of the coin, do not match what we should see if it was an actual Error. Sorry that your' Grandfather was a victim of a greedy coin and stamp selling company!

Littleton coin got their claws hooked into my Mom after I moved away and she ended up with a bunch of those little envelopes with a wide variety of U.S. coins. I finally convinced her to stop buying them and later I sold them all off for her to a dealer. If eBay was around when I unloaded them, I may have got a little more out of them all?

I have to agree with the above posts. This cent appears to be intentionally made.
