I got permission to hunt this abandoned property near my house. As anyone in nh knows, there's still a ton of snow around. The only clear area was near the doors and around the front of the barn. I was out around 15 minutes in front of the barn , had a few hits, couldn't get the shovel in the ground. Then I had a spot I could dig. Out popped this...

Then I went near the front door, same thing , solid ground. After 25 minutes , I was going to quit but figured I give it 10 more minutes because I haven't used the detector since December. I got a big hit 4 inches down so of course when it reads " dollar" its gotta be a can right. I almost NEVER dig those. But since it was a residence , I did. Good thing......

I felt like I was going to pass out or act like the diggers!!! I'll be going back at some point , that's for sure!!! Come on spring.

I would attempt a back flip if I found any kind of silver dollar. That is probably why I can't flip.nice find

Sweet finds....beat oldman winter !!!!!

Looks like your in for a great year !!!!

I hope I never find another silver dollar...I WOULD try a backflip and then that would be the end of me :-)

Congrats on the find; you must be on cloud 9!

wow, congrats! my one 1943 cent was a fluke that was found by my non-discriminating pinpointer in the same hole as something else. It was a rusted disc. That coin is extremely well preserved.

Very nice finds. I hear you on this winter that isn't going away. I'm in MA and they're saying that the pattern should change soon. Can't wait! Congrats on that silver dollar!

Nice cartwheel!

Very nice peace dollar, have to hit it again as soon as the frost comes out.

I hear that a lot about those being destroyed. There must be some reason its not junk. I had no idea what it was until I looked it up. I thought the 3 was a 8 but I guess that's something that starts to happen with the corrosion. Weird thing was the area was completely dry , like no water ever went there.

Thanks for all the great comments!! HH everyone:hello:

Great find on the Peace Dollar! I am still waiting on my first silver dollar.

From what i've read, there's a slight zinc coating which stops it.

"Slight" is the Key word...I have those things in Coin holders that are corroding...Either you have Magic Soils....or that thing was dropped in the last few months.

That coin will not hold up in soil at all.

Coll find thou

Nice large silver congrats!

Congrats on the BIG silver!
