1940 s nickel. Error on reverse?

I was looking through a nickel roll, and I found a 1940 S nickel. When I looked at the reverse, I noticed it was not symmetrical. Look on the right side on top of the building. See the extra bump? See how the building reverse is not symmetrical on the roof?

Is that an error?

I had a professional in Boise look at it. It is a die chip. Not worth much, he said. But still, an interesting error.

Confirmed. It’s an error.
