OK so about 20 years ago I was given an old jar full of these tokens by an old widow my Dad and I were doing an estate clean up for in the Los Angeles area. Over the years I have given many away to friends but I have never found any information on them. Today while going through some old boxes I found them again.
The first pic is a Green River Whiskey token on one side it say's "It's Lucky to Drink" and has a picture of a horseshoe, 4 leaf clover, and a wish bone, on the reverse side it say's "The Whiskey without regrets" and Has a pic of a Prospector? standing next to a burro?
The second and third pic have identical front sides they both say GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION around the outer edge in the center is the golden gate bridge with the sun setting in the background and the date 1939. They also have patent #'s between the words exposition and golden. pic 2 has a pat # D-110018 pic #3 looks the same but not sure. now for reverse sides.
pic 3 say's Treasure Island on the back with an image of the island and a plane flying over head with the bridge in the background.
pic 2 say's China Clipper with the bridge in the foreground and a plane overhead. there are compass directions around outer edge and under the bridge are #'s L-50-C. These #'s are very small in the water and I noticed them today for the first time.
All these tokens appear to be brass and are roughly the size of a half dollar. I have 2 green river, 11 China clipper, and 18 Treasure Island. Any ideas on history or value??
