Well sitting here I am still on Cloud 9. :headbang: Had the best day ever today. Went back out to the place i call the "Highway to Heaven." It is a trail that I found where I have dug alot of silver coins on. Well today was no exception.
Was swinging the Ace250 when I got a strong quarter hit about 6 inches down. Dug the plug and sitting at the bottom I saw a silver rim exposed. I dug dirt off of it and out pops a 1901 Barber Quarter. I was pumped. Well kept swinging for about 30 more minutes.. Digging trash and clad. Then a solid dime hit. Dug the plug and sitting right there was a Silver Dime..1957D...Well I decdied to move to another place where I usually dig alot of 1910, 20's and 30's era coins. Well today I dug a 1919 S wheat, a 1926d wheat and a no date buffalo. Must have been a coin spill, because they were right near the surface. Well dug a few more clad coins and was getting tired so I decided to start heading back to the truck. Well on the way back I get a broken quarter signal. I said what the HE hockey sticks I will dig it and this will be my last target. Ace 250 was showing 6 inches. So I cut a deep plug and pinpointed. Still in the hole. So I dug some more dirt out pinpointed...Still in the hole..I dug some more dirt and something fell off my Lesche that had some weight to it.. As it fell I saw a glimmer of gold.. Oh my I grabbed it up and put it on the dirt and out came the end to my gold-Less streak..

A 1922 Gold Class Ring..
It is from an old High School that was once open in our town. Natchez High School...I could not believe it...I am still speechless..There is an inscription on the inside of the ring. Along with Hallmarking, but It is so hard to make out. I am going to get the senior class of 1922 List and try to find the relatives of the owner and return it... What a day.. I hope I am worthy!!!!!

I think I found a possible owner. Natchez High school junior class of 1921 Bessie Lippman. If anyone wants to help research feel free. I am in the process.

Re: My Best Day Ever OLd Gold, Old Silver.

UPDATE. Took the ring in today to my local jeweler. She said indeed it was a Natchez High School Class ring from 1922..She said it was made by Jaccard and it was 10k GOLD...It would have had pearls in it when it was made so It will have pearls in it now..She said the letters in the inscription were R.L. Or R.S.. It is in her shop being restored now. I will post pictures when it is ready. I am excited. :headbang:

A day I am sure you will never forget!

UPDATE: I just returned home from the Jeweler. She finished putting my 3 little pearls into this 1922 Gold Class Ring from my hometown. It turned out amazing. The picture doesn't do it justice. I have never seen gold as brilliant and gleeming as this gold. She said it was really high quality gold. Gold from 1922...A super find in my book......
