1917 wheat penny then bad luck

Went to site where I had good luck last week found some clad and the wheat penny and then my speaker went out. Third time in about 6 months. Still under warranty so they will fix it. But won’t have it for about ten days and I’ll 😢 miss it. What’s worse is the serial number I need to fill out service form is missing. Hope everyone else has better weekend

Mostly because wife is always with me and likes to hear the tones. Also no one within miles in most of the places we detect and they are hot and annoying in the summer

I can relate to that! I stopped using the big "muff" phones years ago. I now use small FM phones and a small FM transmitter on the detector. Works good and it's cheap.

In a pinch you can use the headphones and just leave em around you neck with the volume on high, that's what I do in the summer when I don't want lots of attention but also don't want to sweat my ears off. One day I hope garret will add a volume control to the actual detector speaker

I can assure you you're missing targets by hunting without headphones. What brand machine breaks 3 times in 6 months ? the world needs to know.

My detector is a legend. The speakers have gone out on me 3 times now. That’s the only problem I have had with it and Nokta has been real good on repairing it. I detect 6 days a week weather permitting. Back up detector is a cheap Bounty Hunter and it just doesn’t measure up to my Legend. Don’t know if the problem is the Legend or the operator but it keeps happening to me.

a quick search shows me it's not you, it's the machine . the problem is noted on many websites.

Nice old wheat and here's hoping Nokta will come up with a fix for the problem with the Legend- from what I see and hear, it's a very good machine. GL!
