Hello!

Got out kinda late today ~ only detected for about 3 hours, but still managed to find a few goodies! I dug a 1916 Merc dime, 1918 Merc dime, 1935-S Merc dime, 1943-S War nickel, some clad, a few wheat cents, and the top part of a broken sterling silver ring with a big "V" on top and an "H" and "S" on the sides.

It's always great to see that silver coin in your dig ~ but my heart really started pounding today when I seen the 1916 date on the Merc dime hoping there was gonna be a "D" mint mark on the reverse . . . . . . but no luck ~ NO MINT MARK! Oh well, still a cool find!

I took pic's of the finds before and after I cleaned 'em up. These dimes are my silver coin finds #117, #118, & #119 for the year!

THANKS for looking!
Neil

Great hunting bud - lots of sweet fnds for a short hunt!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Congrats on the silver... That D will turn up sooner or later for you.

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft:Yes, a 1916 merc can get your attention while you strain you eyes looking for a mint mark!

I wondering on that silver ring? Could it be a "V" for victory emblem from WWII?

Thanks man!

Yeah, that "V" ring is interesting. There's an "H" on one side and a "S" on the other side. I assumed the "HS" stands for HIGH SCHOOL . . . . . but I'm not sure!

Nice finds!

Those 1916 mercs definitely get the heart rate going for a second :laughing7:

Brian

You are crazy successful out there!!!

You're making it look like silver grows underground like peanuts the way you keep finding it!
WTG!

Ahhhh Haaaaaa. You noticed that, too. :laughing7:

You find more mercs than anybody in the world ! I really like the ring - wouldn't cost too
much to have a jeweler put a shank repair on that . ring looks to be circa 1920's - 40's.
Argentium.

Yes that's true, but nothing beats the thrill of digging them up!
