Took my wife and two daughters to hunt a homestead today. Found a water bin dated 1910 With the name Troy carved in it. But that's it! Super disappointed, was expecting something in the relic realm or a coin. Oh well, had a blast with the family:icon_thumleft:. Here is a pic of the old water tank .

All about building memories with the family!

My daughter just now says, hey look at the cool stuff I found today. She has many pieces of porcelain some dated back to the 20's. I'm like why didn't you say anything? She says, because it wasn't important. What? At least we found something old!

Did you see any signs of what could have been a cellar??? That is the first thing I look for at an old house site.. Kewl picture :occasion14:

Yeah I looked, unfortunately most homes here in the southwest don't have cellars. My Sat research showed three large fallen trees which I hoped would yield something. Turns out the trees were dumped there , not fallen. I was bummed. However, I was working some map overlays and I found another homestead/stage stop on a 1887 map just 10 Miles from this place. I know where I'm goin next Saturday !
