Our metal detecting club had our monthly outing today at Skinner Butte Park in Eugene Oregon ~ there were only four members that showed up but we all had a great time! The outing hunt was from 9:am to 1:pm ~ but three of us stayed and detected for several more hours.

I ended up finding two key date coins! First I found a 1909-S Wheat cent (no VDB initials on the reverse) ~ then later in the day I found a 1901-S Barber Half dollar ~ it's pretty worn but still a cool find! Here's what else I found:

4 wheats ~ no dater, 1945-S, 1950-S, 1955-D
41 memorial cents
1941-D & 1941-S Jefferson nickels
10 common 5c's
1946-S Silver dime
12 clad dimes
7 clad quarters

Wow, what a great bunch of coins. Bet your group will spend more time hunting with you the next time. Really like the Half dollar.

Way to go on the key date coins, old is always nice to add to your collection no matter what the condition.
Nice.
