Our metal detecting club had our monthly outing today at Skinner Butte Park in Eugene Oregon ~ there were only four members that showed up but we all had a great time! The outing hunt was from 9:am to 1m ~ but three of us stayed and detected for several more hours.
I ended up finding two key date coins! First I found a 1909-S Wheat cent (no VDB initials on the reverse) ~ then later in the day I found a 1901-S Barber Half dollar ~ it's pretty worn but still a cool find! Here's what else I found:
4 wheats ~ no dater, 1945-S, 1950-S, 1955-D
41 memorial cents
1941-D & 1941-S Jefferson nickels
10 common 5c's
1946-S Silver dime
12 clad dimes
7 clad quarters
