LOOOOONG day off on Monday, and in the 8th and final hour, a silver coin. #27 in two months.

Barber Dime 1903.jpg

The dirty: Dirty.jpg

The count:

40 pennies in ONE HOLE.
18 more memorials too.
2 Wheaties was all...
13 clad quarters
5 clad dimes

So like $4.33 in clad, the thin Barber dime, an "annual regatta DVRA" collar pin of some kind and...

...and THE MYSTERY ALIEN STAR CHART!

Alien Mystery Star Chart.jpg

Thin copper round with strategically drilled holes. I have stumbled on GREATNESS!!
I think the disc holds the secret to navigating to the nearest class M planet...

internal piece from a pocket watch. But according to Giorgio... " I'm not saying it was aliens , but it was aliens".

nice finds

may the force be with you :alien:

Wow. That Barber seen a lot of use. Have never seen one so worn! The stories it could tell.

If Riley Martin was alive he'd tell you your alien find is a symbol!
Nice finds.

That Barber is darn near slick! I agree with wpsgta1000 - definitely some interesting stories behind that one. I think the star chart is just cleverly disguised as a watch part; however. Aliens are very tricky that way.

I know. When I saw it I saw immediately the THINNESS and was worried I would not see the date! I want to KNOW!

The stories.... Yes.

I see metal detecting as a participatory endeavor in the art of storytelling. We are able to exercise our own imaginations
as we wonder and endeavor in conjecture about the past, the object in our hand we unearthed and the once upon a time
that laid it on the ground...

Lots of cool finds
it's always nice to come home with silver, , so congrats on the Barber. If they build that wall, it will cut down on your alien finds.
