1900 South Dakota post office finds,
US Army button and a mystery piece, my first thought was a hair clip?
the material in the settings seem more like stone than glass, maybe a slight blue tint in color.
The back of the clip has broken attachment places on each end.
Anyone seen anything like it?

I'm thinking maybe an antique bar pin. Is there any evidence that a pin was once attached to the back?
