I went out in between the rain to see if I could score a few goodies. I finally made it back to a new site where I scored a Ferdinand VII 1/2 reale about two weeks ago. The result was a bunch of buttons including a silver faced and two wonderful beehive style flatties...

Bingo. 4" and a Lincoln cent signal.

Also found a nice little square of silver...

Some strange demon ring...

Looks like a piece of a medal, minus a wing

The reale looks like a 1790 Carolous IIII, Mexico City mint. Second reale from the site and my second 1790 1/2 reale.

Here's a pic of the three.

Looks like a hat badge to me.

Good eyes Cru. It looks like a 1830's-1840's Shako Hat badge. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1494073974.639132.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1494073985.447333.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1494074042.987378.jpg

The wing is shorter but I'm assuming it's from
Around the same era

Congrats on the old silver and other nice finds

Very strange that I've pulled two old 1/2 reales from there, yet not a single copper. For me it's usually the opposite!

really awesome finds, somehow I don't see me finding anything like those here where I live, so I have to slobber on posts like yours. envious in Arkansas:icon_thumright:

Nice finds, Steve. Especially the Reales. I have yet to find one in 40 plus years of detecting.

Thanks man! And never say never - I'm sure some Spanish silver passed through Arkansas en route to western points. Best of luck!

I'm willing to bet this is your year. Good luck and thanks for taking a look. Cheers

You're definitely onto some good, productive spots now Steve. Nice going on yet another Spanish silver. Maybe you can score a cut piece one of these days although I understand they're hard to come by up that way :laughing7:. Sorry, couldn't resist. Nice hunt man!

Some nice looking Spanish silver for sure. :icon_thumright:

Well done Scrappy, ,
You always seem to lock in on the old stuff.
Congratulations

Thanks my friend, I try to forgo the newer stuff probably to my detriment. PM me sometime, I have a spot that you'll enjoy. Lots of silver

Thanks Bill. I almost forgot the pain of never finding a cut silver, but that's what friends are for right?! Honestly I would give my left boot for a cut Spanish (a pistereen if I'm going to be choosy). Thanks for looking and I'll hopefully know very soon about that Penn grant property.

Cheers buddy

Typical Scrappy hunt! haha Huge congrats man.. that Spanish is awesome. Those buttons are fancy and a good sign maybe there's some other keepers in that dirt. That ring looks just like my face when I told you I dug 2 coppers and you texted me this Spanish silver. haha Another awesome hunt man and looking forward to your next one. You motivate me to get back out there and hunt hard. :occasion14:

Yep, timing is everything and my timing was bad on that one. Either way I'm glad you're amped up and ready to kick arse. Also can't wait to the weekend results post.

Steve...you're killin' it! Love all of these finds! Interesting medal piece--wonder if anyone here can recognize it. Congrats! -Lisa & John
