In the least expected place to find gold I did today! I was digging at an old dump that I have dug at for years , and I hit the jackpot! About 2 feet down, I scooped up some dirt with my hand, and something shiny caught my eye. I wiped it off thinking it was a part of a bottle cap, and immediately knew I had gold. I looked inside and it is inscribed ALB and MMA 12.18.20 18k! This was from a wedding from December 18th 1920, with the bride and grooms initials! I could not believe what I was seeing! I wasn't even using a detector or a shovel to find it, I was just scooping out dirt from my hole with my hand! This is my best find ever, and I will never forget this day!

i found two gold rings so far this year both times I never wanted to leave they were my first ones too ( wish gold would go back up)

The gold ring I found today was my 3rd gold for the year and 3rd gold so far! I doubt it, but hopefully there is more old jewelry in the dump!

I love dated bands..

So personal

Great Find worth way more than its weight in gold!

Yes, for sure! I will never sell this find it is just so cool how you can relate it to certain individuals a long time ago.

And I am wasting my time looking for gold with this darned detector.....

Oh wow thats pretty darn nice!, heck of a find!!

Awesome find! Most days you have to find the treasure, but once in a while treasure
finds you!

Sadly the ring was probably in a box of junk and was missed by the kids when they were cleaning out the house after the parents had both passed on. You've brought it back to life again. Beautiful ring and a great job.

awesome old gold. That's about when my grandparents would have been wed. My dad is 91. Hey, wait a minute...those are their initials!

most excellent find!

Thank you. I find it unbelievable that I found the ring in the whole space of the dump. It is located out in the woods, and is probably 200 ft by 100 ft with stuff up to about 8 ft deep. I found it in a little 3 ft section of the dump where I have not yet dug. What are the odds? I'm very happy it can be enjoyed again like it once was in the day.

Hey Diggy I'd vote banner on this but my vote wouldn't carry much weight probably, still that had to be a small heart attack but he-he no heart attack is small really is it?
