1883 civil war re-union medalion

Me and my friend found this medalion on the surface of a burt down train station from the mid 1800s!! i have never seen any medalion like it, it may not be rare but we freaked out when we saw this! not in great cond but its old and on the back it reads:Ex-Soldiers and Sailors National Re-union,
Columbus O no H for some reason ??? July 24 25 26 27 1883! its so cool, i would love some info! oh yeah as u can see on the front it has a Confederate Soldier + a Union Soldier, anyways if u can plz try to find some info as am i, TY HH CoinS (golddigger) :)

Actually, True_Metal i dont live in a civil war area ethier, cause i think there is a small area down south here i Ohioway down south, anyways just want to inform u, HH CoinS (golddigger)
 

So, you found it in Ohio Coin_Saver? Hmmm, maybe i will get lucky and find a lost goodie from a NY Regiment member that was returning home? Thanks for the info 8)
 

guys i really need some help on this one, i cant find anything like it on the links u gave me, thanks anywayz, i looked myself but couldet find anthing, none of them are circular, found SOMTHING like it in the red book but it was from 1936 i am thinking this could be valuable even though the cond, HH CoinS (golddigger)

I would e-mail that guy Buckram mentioned in his post above and send him a pic of it, or the link to this thread and see what he thinks. Hes an expert and will either know about it or flip out because hes never seen one before. Try it. 8)
 

I think that you may find some info. from the G.A.R. that was an organization that was started for Vets.. union soldiers and now since the last civil war veteran died it no longer exist, but you can find G.A.R. musuems. I found a G.A.R. Medillion dated1907-1908 With the picture of A.C. Matthews the commander for the Ill. chapter. it was there 42nd. encampment at Quincy, Il. found it in my yard in Florida. along with coins from mexico, china, also a teas poon with the history of michagan engraved on it, dates 1610, also Jan, 26, 1837. picture of Lewis Cass he was Mi. first senator. I cant find out anything about this spoon. I also would like to find out anything. Still diggin
