hi everyone.its saturday here and the weather still holds.anyway on the trip a few weeks ago i found this large machine wheel [weight 250 bls].today i dug it up and found a heep of relics under the wheel silver shillings and english pennys around the 1880 mark and bits of a pocket watch lead balls and a shell pottery,hand made nails brass things no idea.old buttons.glass bottle tops and just about every thing else.the site of the dig was under a peppercorn tree not far from a gold mine.heres some pics

Tinpan great finds..... That one badge in the last picture is a "Australian Commonwealth Forces" cap Badge. Could that mean that this site could be from the 2nd world war?

hey tp whats the price of scrape metal going for now days in AU .if you got a M8 or know a blok with a hoist and a good sized truck(lori) load all that scrape metal up make a few xtra bucks(pounds)for the family and you for some VB's cool digs...
 

hi everyone, got a bit of info on the buttons.4 of the buttons are standard infantry issue 1914-1945 and the big button was a postman button for the state of victoria 1895-1911.all australian[forces] buttons and medals and badges were made by the same company STOKES @ SONS [ MELB] 1894-1960S

tinpan will try to get better pic using geffs of pa style

Hi Tinpan, is the round thing at the top left corner, bottom photo, a glass lid? I've found a few of those. Also nice ceramic ointment pot. Did you look for the lid? Nice hunt finds! :)

hi everyone.had an extra long lunch so i went for a swing for 2 hours and got few coins and cleaned up that pocket watch i found in the same area.5 silvers and a penny.all around the 1915-1922
