Finding the first one of anything is always the hardest. Now that you have broken the ice, I'll bet you start finding more Seated Coins. What a great was to start your streak. That is one find looking Seated Dime. Congrats.
I found my first just a couple months ago. I know the feeling. When I first pulled it out, I saw the back first, and yelled to my hunting buddy, "barber", and of course, he ran over. Then we wet it to see the date. 1876! That's when I really got pumped. I was so excited, that I didn't even remember to check for a mint mark before I stashed it in my pocket. I pulled it back out, and found CC!! So in one coin, I produced three firsts! Oldest silver to date, first seated, and first CC mint. Then, as if that wasn't enough, when I got it home, a friend was looking at it and found that it's a double die on the back! Needless to say, I was "hopped-up" as well.
My apologies for ranting about MY finds on YOUR thread, but your discovery got me reliving the moment. Bring on the weekend!
Congrats and Regards,
Jules
