Found at a great 1800's homestead that was used as a doctors office/home. Found several Indians as well.

Can someone tell me how I can tell where the 1873 was minted? I know Carson City is extremely rare and I suppose the letters CC are probably on those but I'm no expert so please a little help?

The 1833 Draped is in awesome condition so I'm guessing VF from what I can tell. Opinions?

Thanks

Well I certainly wish that I was as good with my ATP as you are with yours! Great finds, brother! :occasion14:

Since I did a few things I'm doing much better with it:

1. Research and get permission to hunt target rich properties 1700 & 1800's homes
2. If you haven't already, switch to the small coil. Found both those dimes amongst tons of square nails
3. Even if you get non repeatable signals dig anyway. If those signals are in the 50's through 70's it could be a flat button or an Indian head amongst the trash. When I found these two dimes the signals were jumping between 70 up through 85 go figure
4. Last but not least, slow down. These dimes were found in ground I've been over a dozen times. I've learned to be half assed Ed errrr half fast Ed that is :)

AWESOME Finds & Great Condition on both Coins esp, the Capped.

Full liberty on the Seated is a good thing & Is that an old scratch on the Front of the CB ? or is it a Dark Streak?
Also Is the coin Bent in any Way? Staring at the pic's is messing with my eyes .

Great Coins & Great Site.

Davers

Congrats on a sweet pair of dimes. The Capped Bust is in great condition!

Two very nice coins. Congrats. GL&HH.

Nice finds Ed. I'm not far from you (Rotterdam) plus have a place on Sacandaga.

LOL, no that belongs to my Labrador retriever Ebony. Noticed it in the picture but the coin has no scratch. Good eye though :)

That capped bust is beautiful.

Wow a Draped-anything has always been just out if my reach! Awesome silver finds! :hello2:
