These are finds mostly from 2022 that I had not yet posted before. Found two more Queen Victoria UK coins, making 4 total, at one particular cellar hole. These two shown are a badly corroded 1871 Prince Edward Island penny (minted only one year before PEI was even a Canadian province) and an 1871 British Shilling. The other two which I had posted before were an 1858 Canadian dime and an 1869 British penny. Clearly a UK connection at that old site! Found a unique 1930 Salem Mass Tercentenary Coin Token celebrating the 1630-1930 anniversary of the Arbella ship. I like the early bottles because they have Boston, Lowell and North Reading Mass embossed on them. Other unique finds include 2 lead ingots, something I had never found before. Boy they sounded sweet! Thanks for looking.

Thanks! Same here on the coins. I'm so intrigued by the fact that within a 10 sq yard radius next to a cellar hole I found 4 Queen Victoria bust coins from the 1800's with one being from Canada, one from Prince Edward Island territory (a pre-Canada British colony), and two from England. Fun to imagine who these people were and where they were traveling to...or from.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!!

I would expect those British connection coins in Canada but not so much in Mass. Neat finds and they do provide fuel for speculation about travel and origins. The hostilities between Britain and the US that resulted in the Revolution and the War of 1812 were likely over, so people could travel back and forth more freely.
