My 1864 U.S Springfield rifle with a Allin Conversion "second model trap door". A Find that I am glad to add to my Civil War era relics and thought it was definitely worthy of sharing on here.

Yes, and don't clean it! Just get the rust off, and keep it from further rust. What a fortunate moment!
