O.K. first of all the pic's bite. But I did my best. There are a lot of marks. On the barrel A Crown,"TP","S",a CROWN,"9","B",then A CROWN & ARROW,then a "B" & ARROW. Thats just the barrel. The side of the stock has three ring circle the size of a dime in side the circle is 1862 with a arrow going up. there is a #1 OF TO THE SIDE & A CROWN,2. Bottom of the stock reads A CROWN,"E",46 then A CROWN,"E",4 then A CROWN,"L",10. After my DAD died my mom said get all the guns out of the house this was one that I had never seen before. I have been told it might be more then one gun put together. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING. SQUASH

It looks like an English made Enfield rifled musket from the War of Northern Aggression, also known as the Civil War. Both sides imported huge quantities of them. It would have originally have been full stocked but looks to have been "sporterized". However, any authentic Civil War weapon is valuable. Have it checked out by someone who is knowledgeable about Civil War weaponry.
