Someone carved the coin. I think it’s called a love token.

Yup.... a love token
Awesome!
How’d you acquire it?
I got mine at a coin show...but several guys here have found them detecting.

Awesome, thank you guys! I got it in a box of coins when my grandfather passed along with a couple gold coins. Just curious does it have much value (like I should have it be protected) or is the value just in it being an old family piece?

Mostly valuable as a family piece...
Love token dimes usually go anywhere from $20 to $30 bucks.

Beautiful LOVE token !
Most sell in the $20-$30 range, BUT
Your biggest value will be to you as a family piece.
I think your picture is upside down.
If you can figure out who the initials are for, it will give you even more personal value.
It's a great piece...
Don't clean it !!

Dave we were typing at the same time..:laughing7:

If it has a family relation, that makes it priceless! The initials should be easy enough to track down whos it was.

Good suggestion Mackaydon, I’m working on that to see if anything matches up. Thanks again
