Went back to where I found the spanish silver last week for a physically punishing hunt through thick brush. Well I didn't find the century I was looking for and there was no silver, but I've never found either of these dudes before. I'll take them even if they are ugly.

Poor quality pics and process; our basement is under construction and I don't have any of my usual set up.

Have a good week everybody

Hey, that ain't a bad day's finds to me!

Nothing at all wrong with those finds buddy. Keep plugging away and you will be spoiled again....like you were with that killer Spanish silver 8-)

Great hunt Ken! Those FE cents are hard to find. I have found two FE's, but I still cant find a fatty indian head... funny how that works. I really like that hoe blade too and it would look great in a display after electrolysis. I also think I might see one rose head in that nail pile

Awesome digs, especially the FE and shield. Maybe someday an FE will fly my way.

Great FE. I'm super jealous. I've found an 1857 LC and an 1859 Laurel wreath Indian but never a FE.

Congrats!!!

As always, thanks for the good cheer

Grats on the flying cent
Thanks Joe!

The odds really are weird in this hobby.
I need to learn about electrolysis!
I should also get some points for not posting pictures of Atlantic city street corners when references to garden tools come up.

Sweet, ,
The FE is still on my bucket list.
Congrats
Hope one gets under your coil soon!

I think at the rate your going there won't be a coin minted after 1840 that escapes you in the next 4 years.

Awesome ZK..
Thanks PP.

No way! Well, leave it to a Vermonter to defy the odds. And I was digging out towards the very far left of this field. Hmmm. I guess that means all your large cents are now...mine?

Awesome digs.
Thanks Jim.

Thanks, man. It is crazy how quickly we adapt. I'm so in love with seeing "17" on coins that I was almost ungrateful about these finds, which would have made my month a year ago. A good thing to remember.

Nice. The FE is still on my to find list. Congrats.
Thanks for the goodwill, Mike

Some very nice finds congrats
Thanks tArt, you are always kind.

A flying eagle and a shield in the same hunt. Sweet. Some people still have both of those on the bucket list.

Thanks Evolution. Your Vermont copper is an inspiration. Any of of those is at the highest of my list, but a landscape in that condition...I would feel like I had won the lottery.

Still hoping to dig one of those Eagles, it's hard to even dig the older Indians out here.
Looks like a great return for a hard days work!
Kudos!

I have a hard time refraining from those jokes too when I post or comment on dirty garden tools. :laughing7: The possibilities are endless. hahaha

Congratz on both of those coins! It seems like you have one hellava good spot! BTW, I'm very jealous of the FE, I want to dig one so bad!
