Found years ago in a fruit tree orchard that was once a old settlement. Seated coins and a few gold coins have been found in the area. This coin is probably the last coin to have surfaced. It looks like the fertilizer took a toll on this coin. A well known coin dealer said it was probably a counterfiet because it didn't sound like silver. Who would counterfiet a coin and toss it in a fruit orchard. It looks like it was buried for a very long time. What do you think? Can you see the date 1854 and the huge O? Not sure if O is the huge type.
