1853 Half Dime - first for me!

Went out yesterday with my buddy Jdsly and after hitting a few spots without finding anything, we met up with cbxjon and hunted one of his sites. After about an hour or so in the heat (90's) without digging anything good, I pulled this out the ground! My first half dime and with what looks like a hole made with a square nail to wear it on a necklace and in good condition! Made the five or so hours of hunting in the heat well worth it! Thanks for looking.

Looks like it was holed when first gotten, good detail on it, nice silver half dime! I don't have one, yet.

Half dimes are fun.....and tiny. Congrats! I agree it does look like a square hole from a cut nail.
