1848 Seminary College

Went back to the old Seminary College today for about 3 hours. Still finding tons of square cut nails but also found 3 other items today. One 1935 D wheat penny. One lead ball, kind of flat on one side. Any suggestions? Maybe a damaged rifle ball? Also what I believe may be some sort of lapel pin. Any suggestions on that one?

My mistake. There is no mint mark on the wheat penny.

The pin looks like the ones used to hold a doily or other cover/protector on the arms or back of an upholstered chair.

Awesome finds that is a musket ball, it probably hit something soft or was dropped.

the pin reminds me of an old hair pin. like a bobby pin except older and more intricate.

A Seminary College is where men go to study to be a priest. Many families sent their sons to this particular college during the civil war to keep them out of the war.
