Went out for a quick hunt after a short rain this evening. Knocked on a few doors and finally got an answer! Was in digging mode for 20 minutes and got a 82-83 on the AT Pro about 4 inches down. Turned the plug over and I see the edge of silver sticking out...tiny silver.
Pulled it out and instantly seen the 'half dime'. I about flipped! Turn it to the obverse and see the 1842 staring me in the face...oldest silver yet!!!

About 10 feet over, I score the 1892 Indian Head cent! Had to leave shortly after but got the green light to come back.

Thanks for looking! 20180621_203829.jpg20180621_204248.jpg

Very nice...nothing like finding your new oldest silver. Still on my list. Congrats on the HD and the IHC.

Wow man, two good ones! Both are on my list but I’ve only been detecting for a few months. I want an IHP SO BAD!

Always a great feeling to get Liberty Seated with lots of detail. Congrats!

That short hunt paid off big time .You must return there soon and post the results.

Killer finds and great saves. You didn't mention if it's also your first New Orleans mint mark? My first one was on a barber dime, pretty exciting! That half dime is sweet. Low mintage of only 350K way to go! Big congrats
