Hi all, i found this a while ago, was digging through my keepers to post my "tootsie toy car" on the T-Net car show link and came across this token again, now that i have a good camera i can post the pics. I found this in my dad's yard, which also produced, 2 crotal bells, an IH penny, 2 large cents 1828, 1830, 1 canadian large cent 1859, 1 1943 Merc (only silver that i have found there), and a man's 14K gold wedding band, which i believe is my Great Grandfathers, he owned the house, and lost his left hand in a mill accident and use to carry his ring in his pocket as i was told. Enjoy the pics!

Happy Dirt Fishing,
Dan

Cool token Dan,looks in nice shape

Thanks ohio jerry, it is in nice shape but to bad it is holed. I looked it up in the 1700-1900 token book, goes for about 35-40.

Nice find, being holed is what it should be, it is not really a Token, but a Medalet or Medal, Most Medalets are holed when manufactured and some medals. I have found three different Presidential Campaign Medals/Medalets or Tokens if you wish, but all three are holed and holed at dead center top , so do not feel bad about it being holed.

That is a beautiful piece of memorabilia. I have seen quite a few Harrison buttons, but I do not think I have seen this medallion before.

Neat find.

Here are the three that I have found, as you can see they all are holed and two of them are Harrison medals. The smaller Harrison one, when it first was visible in the hole I dug, screamed Gold Coin to me, well, at least until I picked it up. :'(

I think Dan's is a beautiful one and hope more TNet members find these old pieces of our history. Have seen a few Lincoln ones posted over the years, other than that only Sunoco Presidential ones from the 60's. :D

There used to be a great website showing many of the varieties, but it seems to be either down or no longer in use. http://www.politicalbadges.com/
