1837 Half Penny & 2/3 of a British Officer's Breastplate!

I detected here for 3hrs yesterday and found an almost complete British breastplate. This one hit in the usual range of 89 – 91 at 6” on the up-slope of a hill. The 1837 Upper Canada Half Penny Token came next at 91 – 92 on the VDI at 8” deep; this site just keeps on giving! :laughing7: I couldn’t have asked for a nicer Christmas present then to find my fifth martingale/breastplate at this site. Here’s hoping I can locate the missing ‘Victorian Crown’ from this piece when I return tomorrow? :icon_scratch:

Hope you all had a great Christmas and as usual thanks for looking!
Dave

North of the Limestone Dave, actually I went out for a couple of hours detecting today. :icon_scratch: Just got tired of the building project and digging some older dirt felt appealing this afternoon at the back of our property. Got a few things like cane band thingy, lrg. clock frame with a bunch of gears, found a large trash pit that runs out into the bay. It's from the area where I got the 1830 half dime & 1853 quarter in the spring, there was a warehouse in the mid 1800's and a ferry landing was there also.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you detecting the area where there was, "warehouse in the mid 1800's and a ferry landing was there"!
Detecting on December 27 is great, it sure beats looking out the window at the snow falling and dreading shoveling the drive eh! :laughing7:
