Got out detecting for 6 hours today in this lovely Fall weather. Happy to see the Liberty Cent. I consider myself to be a colonial through Jacksonian Era detectorist and this coin hits the latter period perfectly. To think this coin was in someone's hands during the great economic downturn of the late 1830s. Both isolates away from previous structure debris fields. Haven't cleaned them yet. Most of my IHP finds are from the Civil War period. What a gruesome year for the country.
