i got my pro pointer back from the repair shop today and thought i should go out and make sure it was back to working order (any excuse to get out of the house and go dirt diggin). i ended up at the same church where i found my first silver last saturday and started diggin a bunch of square nails and was fixing to call it a day when i got this wonderfull tone about 8 inches down. after diggin the plug, i found this beauty sitting in the bottom of the hole...an 1827 capped bust dime!!!
WOOO HOOOO!!!! it was a good day. and yes dave, i got the whole dig on video!! on the video it shows how nervous i got, i don't even remember rubbing the dime

I think what I like the most about this video(and post) is the still frame it the middle. It makes me think about the few good finds I have found. I love the fact that you got that feeling on film. Nice work, I look forward to seeing more.

Amazing coin, thanks for sharing the pics and video!

Awesome find. Looks like everyone in Tennessee had a good weekend. Congrats on your find.

What a beauty!! The condition is really good for a coin that old. Just think, that would have bought a lot of groceries back then. Somebody cried over losing that one. Congrats, Quindy.
