A very nice find indeed , and as the earlier respondant noted , there have been a bunch of nice largies posted of late , and I would add
a whole lot of them are these "matron head " cents.

It must be the year for 1820 large cents in NY. I found this one in June in a spot where they just removed an old parking lot.

Nice coin Chad! I love finding these big coppers. Like another poster mentioned there seems to be a lot of LC being dug here in NY. I didn't find any last year but have found 4 so far this year.

Nice! Agree with the relatively high number of LC's lately. I too found one this week, but the front is too toasty to read date with certainty so I didn't post it yet. I think it's 1827 Matron.
