Spent a beautiful fall afternoon in the button field next to the 1780 house. I thought that my Brother and I had pretty much cleaned the field out, but, I was obviously wrong. The heavy snow from last week took all of the tall grass and smashed it down. I decided to take a look in these areas and found a 1820 and 1821 Large cent. The 1821 is a key date to the set. Also found three nice buttons a small harness buckle and another larger buckle along with something that says Denmark on it. I think it is a type of a lock washer and is probably new. Then to top the afternoon off, we had a beautiful sunset. Thanks for looking...Lance

I have always assumed any field is worth hunting, cause think of it: someone had to make the field at one point and keep it maintained right?

The sunset alone was worth the trip but you got two beautiful coins to boot. WTG!

As usual your finds continue to amaze me! My only saving grace is you will be frozen in for the winter and I will hopefully have some time to catch up, LOL! Great finds keep up the good work, I will be headed out to the beach aging on Sunday morning, want to join me?
