1814 Dime

[Spoonman]

Found an 1814 dime today while metal detecting with my friend. It was only about 3-4 inches down. Unfortunately I caused some damage to the edge, but I'm still really excited at such a rare find! We were both amazed at how good the condition is for being almost 200 years old.

That's a SWEET old silver dime. A capped bust anything is still on my wish list. We've all dinged a coin or two in our digging careers. You didn't hit that one too bad. Still looks great to me. Congrats!
