1813 Half Stiver, Out of place ?

I had a job to convince this guy that there was something to be found here, long story short, this is what I found. My 5th copper and best condition so far.

I honestly don't know if it is rare, or otherwise type of find, but a good find as far as I'm concerned.

What was the round object with the squared loop on the back. There was no pic of the front of it. Just wondering what it was.
Nice George. The farmer can now be proud the place shows objects from the same era. I can only imagine what you'll find on your next few trips.

The other side is completely flat, just a guess it could be a bridal rosette ?

I believe you're right there. Keep plugging away because you've got to find some crotal bells!
Have to go to NB some time soon to camp. Going to be searching the river. Floods periodically and I'd like to find some old provincial coinage (relics too!). Family has been in that area since before the province was established so I know there has to be a few things laying about!

Hope all goes well with your Knee, my surgeon's name was doctor doctor that scared the h*## out of me but it is all good now. he is the head of orthopedic surgery for university of Mass. HH
