I had a job to convince this guy that there was something to be found here, long story short, this is what I found. My 5th copper and best condition so far.

I honestly don't know if it is rare, or otherwise type of find, but a good find as far as I'm concerned.

hey there Rick, I found one of those suckers a couple of years ago...about the same shape

they were issued just that one year I think, there are a few coins of that era that have travelled up from South America to our region

keep up the good work!

Only made the one year, that long ago, I guess it could be considdered a scarce find, at least here.

So did it convince him?

Actually it did, he was surprised I found anything. Now I get to go back and spread out past where those few apple trees are, which was my alloted space for that hunt. The orchard was much larger. Looking forward to another trip in a day or three.

Nice George III British find! Congrats and HH, Mike

What was the round object with the squared loop on the back. There was no pic of the front of it. Just wondering what it was.
Nice George. The farmer can now be proud the place shows objects from the same era. I can only imagine what you'll find on your next few trips.

The other side is completely flat, just a guess it could be a bridal rosette ?
