This was a really nice pair from the same hole at Tatum Park(Home of Frank Tatum of Whitall Tatum Glass Co.)Must have looked really nice hanging together. I feel very lucky that whoever dropped them didn't realize it.

There's some blue enameling around the shield.

These other finds were from a dot on an old map. I had to hunt from a deer path and swing when I could get through the bramble but I found the site. I'll have to buy a machete to go back but it looks worthwhile to me.

The 1810 Capped Half is awesome! The watch has got to be at least partially gold.

Great finds! Get back there soon and finish the job! :occasion14:

That’s a great hunt

great job seems like a great site

Nice find(s) - watch would have been in vest pocket and the half being a fob wouldve hung outside - so they would not have clanked

Awesome pair, I've not seen anything like that on the forums before. Very cool

Thanks for looking and for the info. I didn't know how a fob would hang.

The green patina is showing through everywhere but I'll get it checked.

oh man that's cool

Usually those watches had very thick gold plate, almost a deceivingly thick amount in many cases. The coin predates that watch by at least 50 years based on the top-wind mechanism and the styling. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that on Tnet. Outstanding find!

I can't help but vote banner on that supercool find.

Absolutely great finds- Congrats!

Thanks for that information. The watch is very heavy at 57 grams. I will definitely take it to a jeweler for inspection.
