This same buckle has appeared in Mark Parker. Its a beautiful piece. Value $750+.

I was correct. Its the American Crocodile. ;D

Very little collector interest if that is the correct value. Without having served in North America Juno probably wouldn't see it as having a high value, just not his interest... but that right person out there would no doubt go higher. For $750 that would be VERY easy to keep.

Agreed. ESPECIALLY in that Beautiful condition, with all of the attachments.

Amazing find, I gotta vote banner on this one... What type of location did you find this in, cellar hole, field, old house?

I found this while metal detecting in Delaware a few years ago.
It appears to be brass, but I have never cleaned it up.
The measurements are 3 1/8" height X 2 3/8" wide. Oval Shaped.
It appears to be some type of buckle. Any info would be appreciated.

Wow! Glad you never cleaned it. Surprised you never researched it.
