Assuming it's real and hasn't been cleaned/damaged, I think using NGC's price guide would help. I don't know grades, but assuming VG is 1260, and F is 1770. Good luck!

the coin dealer i took it to this week said it was a nice coin and offered me 750.00. from what i have been able to read on different sites i believe its worth more than his price. even if it is only worth 750.00 i don't want to sell it. thanks for the input.

I just looked it up in the red book and (VG-8 is 1,150 for a 1803 large 8) To bad it was not a 1802 it would be 40,000 in the same condition!

I'd say big money,the 3 looks smaller than the 180.I'm no expert,looks like a great find to me.That one's on my find it list.
