I took out my son and my niece last weekend to a new property that I hadn't hit yet...I really wanted them to score an old coin or two.
The property has a 25 room boarding house that dates to the mid 1800's that will soon be converted to a Bed and Breakfast, and was vacant...which worked out perfectly for my mission to get these two into the hobby!
After an hour of finding lots of clad and one 1952 wheat cent with my son's Ace 250, they both about fainted when they dug this 1802 Large Cent!! Major Score!! They both were floating on air all the way home...and still are! My niece was visiting from Louisiana, so my son agreed that she should take the coin home with her to keep to remind her of her visit to NH...made me proud! Here's a few pics of our day together and the coin...which is their Best Find.
