1800s Salvatore Fergola painting

Hey kitt,

That's a reproduction of one of Salvatore Fergola's views of the Bay of Naples. Notice the bright white canvas. Canvas ages and darkens. A 19th Century example would look something like this:

Unless it was stored in a climate controlled chamber the canvas would have moisture, aging, and any kind of environmental stain that came into contact with it over the years. I would believe it is a modern reproduction due to the condition of the canvas but u never know until u take it to be dated at a reputable art dealer.
