"1800s club".....I'm in! Whoo hoo!!!

First pre 1900 coin ever for me. It's a 1855D French Dix Centimes coin. Bronze, I think, and approximately about the size of a US fifty cent piece. Found along old Ohio Erie canal. I was really excited to find this, and I'm stoked to find more old coins! Would have posted in todays finds (yesterday), but was wore out after hunting and went to bed. I am recovering from pneumonia and just don't have a lot of energy as of yet. Happy hunting to all!

Congrats! I joined the 1800s club earlier this summer with an 1887 Morgan Dollar.

If you only knew the history of how that coin ended up by the canal........

sweet coin, congrats

Thats an awesome find.Congrats to you..HH

Well done!
My first was an 1835 half dime. To this day, it's still my favorite.
Hope you find many more...
Peace
