Hello all I am reposting this because i was told the title is unclear

This is a coin from Sunday's hunt
Bartek and I found an early site
It seems virgin , homesite fields
It had all the telltale signs concentrated iron patches
Well we pulled 12 coins that day
The newest being an Indian cent
I got a screamer at 6 inches
Bart was standing next to me I dug it flipped the plug
Out pops a white disk I'm thinking 1 real
Then I see the eagle !!!
I tel bart it's got an eagle on it I hand him the coin
He flips it and says ! Holy s#*t
Holy s";t it's a 1800 draped bust dime

I was stoked. Thanks for reading hh gl

I voted banner on this too! It's simply an epic find. To the person who showed some concern, I've found quite a few silver dimes with this exact same reddish-brown coating on it. It's just a product of the soil it was found in, and I think professional conservation will be able to remove it or at least improve it dramatically.

Well, from one 1800 Draped Bust Dime finder to another....CONGRATULATIONS!!!..... and welcome to the Draped Bust Silver Club!!....What a rush I know that was for you!!!

Mine made the Banner in 2009, no reason this shouldn't either, a very nice coin........as an FYI, mine came back VF-35 Details/Environmental Damage from ANACS and I believe yours has more detail than mine, gonna venture a guess at XF-45.......

May you continue to make these kinds of finds regularly!!

Congrats again on unearthing a very important coin!

HH all!

Greg

Hey thanks Greg I'm proud to ne a member.
My bucket list is getting short
I
Still looking for a cob. !!!

You mentioned restored and graded, so I'm guessing you're sending it off to PCGS? If so, they did an amazing job "conserving" a 1918-D SLQ I have. Here's best wishes that it comes back authentic with a very high grade, worth a huge sum of $$ for you- GL!

Thank you Jeff , I love coins but a huge sum is always nice ! Hh gl

Congrats on finding an 1800 Draped Bust Dime! It appears to have some really great details which are currently hidden by corrosion, staining and toning from the many years it laid in the ground. Hopefully the conservation will bring her back to her true beauty! While not an extremely rare coin, it is extremely rare to find an 1800 Draped Bust Dime while metal detecting, so I truly believe this find deserves a Banner and I put my vote in.

Thanks for the nod. So far this year I've got
2 capped 1/2 dimes 2 seated half dimes and 7 seated dimes
It is the year of early silvers. Hh gl.

Congrats on the Dime find! It is a bucket lister for sure and looks to be a nice coin. Would have had to wipe me up after finding something like that and then the smile would be there for the rest of the day, have a feeling you still have on since you found that beautiful coin. Let us know how it looks when you get it back. Bet that place it on your hunt again list!
