Nice recovery. Thats a good looking knife.
 

That's a really nice looking knife you got there. Here's a Flemish/Dutch one that dates to 1500. It has a pommel in the form of a horse hoof, but the scales are made of rootwood. Maybe yours is earlier than you think. :)

my knife is for sure arround 1640 (the context was pure) ;D

nice to see a horse hoof on another knife ;)
