Hope someone will find this worthwhile. I prefer hunting where others have already found goodies.

Got out some of my older magazines today, and found this on the front page of International Club Digest's World of Treasures magazine for May, 1978. I can't find a reference to this magazine on the internet, so believe it has been out of print for some time. I hope I'm not infringing on copyright by posting this small notice, but if I've stepped on anyone's toes, I bet I'll hear from them!

OLDEST COIN AWARD

FREMONT, NE - The Nebraska Adventurers - During the last meeting, the Nebraska Adventurer Oldest Coin Award was given to the person finding the oldest American coin during the year 1977. Winner of the award for the second consecutive year was Floyd Thompsen with the find of a 1798 Silver Dollar. This coin was found as Floyd along with Stan Coleman were hunting a field where old houses once stood. Congratulations Floyd!
