That old victorian property keeps giving up more finds. Today a nice 1798 draped bust large cent, a North-West Mountie badge (toy I imagine), a nice small mouth harp, a small brass buckle, a die made from lead, 3/4 of a brass petal bell, and some nice buttons including a Levi Strauss one. Does anyone have any info on the badge. I would be interested in knowing how old it is. Thanks...Lance

Great finds!! seems you get an old copper every time you go out :o The levi straus button i think is fairly modern, the badge could be real, you never know ;)

Totally awesome finds!! I can imagine the excitement you must have everytime you hit that site. All the possibilities.

Great stuff again!!! VERY nice finds!!! I agree the badge is probably a "toy" item. The official Mountie stuff is much more ornate from what I've seen, but you never know, they did have a similar design that I saw...

Thanks SugarSand. I did find out that the North West Mounted Police started in 1873 and had their named changed by the King in 1904 to the Royal North West Mounted Police. My badge just says North West, so it must be from before 1904. What has me wondering is the fact that it is quite thick, Much more so than a toy badge. I am wondering if it could be from a horse harness or something of that nature. This one is going to bug me until I figure it out. Thanks for the help...Lance

AWSOME LANCE ;

You've got yourself some really awsome sites this summer, great finds with everything!

I look forward to see what else you come up with this weekend. Got a pic of the reverse side of the Draped Bust? Nice cent, and clean too. Sweet.

Once again great finds!!!! You have to do your winter research and find out what the heck used to be there, must be a reason. I hope your hot streak continues until at least Oct. 12 CONGRATS!

I think I want to move to Vermont! I've bid on dozens of those coins( 1797,98) and have not won one yet. Yah, New England is the hot spot for old coins.

WOW!! Some really nice keepers!!
