1798-1803 LC's and 1829 BIG SILVER!
Have this post for my brother in law, DigginitRTB, who incidently snuck out without me today, and found these 3 Beauties. The 1798 was found a couple feet away from where I found the 1787 Conn. Copper yesterday. The 1803 and 1829 BIG!!!!! silver were found at another foundation nearby. I, personally, have yet to find a capped bust coin let alone a 50cent piece. Don or IP, if you read this, the "5" on the back, has a short top to it. Is this a die variation? It is definitely struck like this. It's hasn't been nicked or wiped off, it's just missing 1/2 of the top of the 5. You can see it in the scan. Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS big time to Richie! We've got a couple of weeks left to detect up here before frost hits so I guess we have to hit it hard. CYA Sunday Dickie, Right?
